Bringing Stories to Life
World Book Day was a colourful, creative, and joy-filled celebration at St John the Evangelist Catholic Primary School in Billingham, with pupils transforming into their favourite storybook characters for a day of imagination and adventure.
Fantastic Costumes and Even Better Enthusiasm
From courageous superheroes to magical wizards, our children amazed us with their inventive costumes and boundless excitement. Their passion for reading shone throughout the day, making this celebration one of our most vibrant yet.
Success at the Books and Biscuits Café
A special highlight was the return of our much-loved Books and Biscuits Café, which once again proved to be a huge success. Families enjoyed tasty treats while discovering new books - and even got a sneak peek at our newly refreshed library space.
Your enthusiasm and support help us continue to build a thriving reading culture within the school.
Continuing Our Love of Reading
World Book Day may come once a year, but our commitment to nurturing a lifelong love of reading remains at the heart of what we do. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special - let’s keep turning those pages together!
